Plastic waste in our oceans has reached alarming levels, with millions of tons entering marine ecosystems each year. Single-use items like pool inflatables often end up discarded after brief use, contributing to this growing crisis. These plastics take hundreds of years to degrade, harming marine life and disrupting delicate ecosystems. By rethinking how we use and dispose of these items, we can help protect our oceans for future generations, reducing waste while also conserving resources.

EcoFloats’ mission is to reduce plastic waste by helping holidaymakers pass on their pool inflatables and other short-term use items to others as their holiday ends.

Upload an item that you would like to freecycle or browse the marketplace for an item for your current or upcoming holiday, by destination, and then reserve it for collection from the current owner.

Browse your reserved items and once you collect the reserved item from the current owner based on the listed collection instructions, simply click ‘Collect’ and the item is now yours.

Once your holiday is nearing completion simply resist the item with the relevant dates and location for collection and the item will be available for others. If you prefer to the item home, simply delete it from the app.
